Call for Labs/Exercises for National CyberWatch Center

Calling all students and faculty…

The National CyberWatch Center is seeking faculty and students at all levels to develop hands-on labs for a courseware repository for educators and inclusion in the National CyberWatch Center Curriculum. Grant stipends are offered for labs and exercises that are developed for the following courses located HERE:

  • NCC 209: Secure Server Services
  • NCC 213: Intrusion Detection/Prevention System Fundamentals
  • NCC 216: Digital Forensics II: Advanced Digital Forensics
  • NCC 217: Operating System Fundamentals
  • NCC 219: Network Forensics and Incident Response

Each lab that is developed should provide a hands-on experience that illustrates one or more concepts covered in the course. Depending on complexity and quality, each lab/exercise will provide a stipend in the following amount upon acceptance:

  • Submitted by Faculty – up $250 to $500.00
  • Submitted by Graduate Students – $250 to $500
  • Submitted by Undergraduate Students – $100 – $250

Labs should be submitted in a Word document format to mleary@nvcc.edu no later than July 14, 2017 5 p.m. EST. Awards will be made on a first come, first-served basis for labs meeting the criteria above until grant funds have been exhausted.

Upon acceptance, intellectual property rights will be transferred to the National CyberWatch Center, with all credit to the developer noted.
