Michael Burt
Virtual Lab Manager
Mr. Burt has been a full time Professor in the Information and Engineering Technology Department (IET) at Prince George’s Community College for the past 20 years teaching a variety of courses in the areas of Cybersecurity, Web Development, Programming, Networking, and Systems Analysis. In addition to his teaching assignments, Mr. Burt is the Virtual Lab Manager for National CyberWatch. Mr. Burt’s credentials include an M.B.A. and M.S. in Information Assurance and industry certifications (e.g., CISSP). Mr. Burt is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and Capitol Technology University. Mr. Burt was a contractor with corporations that supported the Department of Defense at Ft. Meade, MD for over 20 years performing systems analysis, web design and development, and project management. Mr. Burt retired from the Naval Reserves as a Command Master Chief in 2000 with over 28 years of total military service.
